Family Fun and Adventure on Offer in Dubai

There is something for everyone in Dubai. Everyone knows about the shopping and the golf. The European Tour finishes each year on the Emirates Course for the richest prize in European Golf. Add to that the prizes offered at the horse races and there is opulence wherever you look. However you do not have to be rich to enjoy what the Emirate has to offer.

Wild Wadi

Winter and summer the climate is excellent. There are times you will feel the need to cool off and the Water Parks are one way to do it. Wild Wadi is 12 acres of pools, slides and facilities. The imaginative design means that many of the slides are interconnected with the pools; you can simply select your own route. There is so much to do, both high speed and slower activities that all the family will enjoy a day at Wild Wadi with its three restaurants which will ensure you don’t go hungry.

The Sea

You can enjoy the simple pleasures of the locals. Perhaps you would like to know how the local fishermen made a living over the years or what it is like to live in the desert? There have been some impressive catches taken out of the clear blue sea and you can try to join the successful fishermen by taking a tour though you will be sailing in a modern boat rather than the traditional dhow.

If the sea is your thing, then there is the opportunity of cruising along the shoreline to get a better view of the city or of the offshore developments taking Dubai into the future. If you actually want to go into the water you can join the dolphins in waist deep water so you don’t even have to be able to swim.

Desert

Dubai Attractions do not just include the city and its shoreline. You can go out into the desert in a 4×4, enjoy a camel ride, and have dinner under the stars, entertained by musicians and local belly dancers. You may instead head for Hatta Heritage Village travelling on to the Wadi where you can actually swim in the desert.

There is even the opportunity of staying overnight in a Bedouin campsite. It is unlikely that you will ever have experienced total silence like there will be throughout the night under the stars before you are woken with Arabian breakfast and tea before being driven back to your hotel.

You will have to make time for shopping of course and even that can be done on a guided tour where local guides will provide you with the best alternatives and the real value purchases. All in all Dubai has created an attraction for everyone. There is never a season when people are not welcome though in the height of summer you should ensure that you have plenty of sun cream in your suitcase.
