3 Must See Places in India
I know what you are thinking, how can you make such a short list of places to see in India? I agree with you, it is impossible to list down every place that you must visit in India. That is a testament to just how amazing the country is, it is one of those countries that you will want to go back to time and time again. To put it simply, India is magical! It is such a large country that visiting each place during a holiday would be very difficult indeed, I have been there a couple of times and still haven’t touched the surface. Before I went last time I checked in with the people over at Travelbag, to see what great offers that had and I was amazed by the help and information they also gave me before I booked. You should definitely speak to them before you book anything, the advice I was given really helped me make the most of my time in India. So here are 3 places in India that I have visited, I strongly recommend that you check them out when you are there. I’m sure lots of you have also been lucky enough to visit, so let me know what your top 3 places are and if you agree with my selections.
This was, like most other people that travel to India, the fist place that I visited. Delhi is the capital city of India, it can first be quite a culture shock so be prepared. If you are a wrist time traveller then have your wits about you because it is easy to get swallowed up by this city. That being said it is probably one of the best cities that I have ever visited! There is so much to see and do here; the magical mosques, forts and historical monuments. Most of the popular sites are located in stunning gardens that are perfect to relax in.
This has to be one of the most popular places in the whole of India, it is popular for a reason because it is absolutely amazing! You should take a trip in one of the many houseboats, you will cruise along the beautiful Kerela backwaters. It is a great way to feel relaxed and refreshed after visiting some of the many buy and bustling cities. The great thing about being on board is that you are treated to freshly prepared tasty Indian food and given beer to wash it down. Heaven!
The Taj Mahal
I know what you think , this is obvious. Yes, it is obvious but a trip to India would not be complete without seeing the Taj Mahal. It is the most iconic place in India, if not the world, it’s certainly the most important as well. We’ve all seen our friend’s photos from the place which look amazing. Let me tell you that the Taj Mahal is even more amazing when you see it in person. I just stood there and gazed at it for so long, I think it is absolutely breathtaking and one of the most mind blowing places I have been lucky enough to see.
